The round was organised in the form of a socially distanced relay, with special mention going to Michael Saunders, Philip Liberman, Nicola Smith and Andy Mitchelson for completing the full distance and Mark Aylmore for pulling the event together.

HJ member Matt Wyman competed in the Centurion Thames Path 100, brilliantly organised by Centurion Running, with welcoming volunteers at every checkpoint.

It’s a lovely inclusive atmosphere, with stringent time cut offs built in. A beautiful course,it’s also flat, which means using the same leg muscles - on hard surfaces.

Wyman said: “High points included an achingly polite man on a bicycle stopping me to say how much he admired us as runners to take on London to Oxford, my wife Emma and daughter Ethel providing fantastic crew support and being saved from going in the wrong direction by Chris Evans.”
