The 2020 Little Horsted Fun Run was cancelled so today we look back to the 2019 event through the lens of Ron Hill.

He writes: “Registration was open from 9am , tables signposted where to collect your running numbers and local fitness dancer Michelle Porter was doing a fun warm-up for all ages on the playing field. Bacon butties, cakes, tea and coffee and ice creams were available. The 10k started at 10.30am, the 5k at 10.35 and the 1k at 10:40. The 10k and 5k were across the wonderful English countryside, and there were a few stiles to get over and livestock in some of the fields.

“A team of 12 marshals helped guide runners along the way (although during the 10k it was possible a few competitors may have strayed slightly) and water stations were available. All three runs were timed and everyone that entered received a medal and a time for their run. Trophies were awarded the winners. The amazing time for first place in the 10k was 31min 47sec. First in the 5k was 19min 25sec and in the 1k it was 5min 54sec. Now we look forward to the next Little Horsted Fun Run, whenever that may be.” Images by Ron Hill
