Mid Sussex Marlins celebrate fourth consecutive County Championship win
The Mid Sussex Marlins walked away with victory in both the senior championship (swimmers of all ages) and the age group category (under-18s) competitions in one of the club’s best ever performances at the County Championships.
The Marlins also won the Sussex County Relay Gala.
The Championships took place in February 2020, but the Covid-19 pandemic has prevented the presentation of the trophies until now and the 2021 Championships have been cancelled.

In addition to the overall team events a number of Marlins won trophies for their individual performances.
Marlins swimmers Sophie Shaw and Bethany Abrams both won three trophies for their victories in individual events, Charlotte Johnson two and Mackenzie Cannon one.
The presentation took place at the Triangle Leisure Centre in Burgess Hill where the Sussex Championship Trophy was presented to Marlins head coach Stephen Murphy.
Murphy said: "Our performance at the 2020 Championships was one of the best in the club’s history and it’s a huge shame we haven’t been able to celebrate it until now.
