Worthing Thunder have named a strong squad as they bid for an exciting 2020-21 season in division one of the National Basketball League.

A mixture of players returning from last season and some new faces will give Thunder every chance of success when the new season gets under way.

They were fifth when last season ended early because of the lockdown although had a game in hand over all the teams above them.

Returning from last season is Zaire Taylor for his fourth year with the club.

Ishmael Fontaine is entering his third year with Thunder, and is joined again by Tom Ward and Josh Goddard, ready for their seventh and third seasons at Worthing.

Dominic Ives and Nick Ballone are both back for a second season, and the same is true of young Cameron Hildreth, who may head to America at the end of this campaign.

Returning back to basketball after a few years playing cricket in Australia is fan favourite Jack Sunderland.

Thunder newcomers are 6ft 7in American Howard Crawford from Alabama, who has recently been playing in South America, and British player Daniel Beard, who has been in Italy, and

Brighton-based Max Richardson, who has been playing in Norway.

Thunder are offering supporters and businesses the chance to sponsor a player. For £200, names and logos will be printed on the player’s kit.
