Outstanding start to season for Nicki
STARTING the main season on a high is Barnham rider Nicki Bedford, who had outstanding success with her classy mare Wixstone Warabel at Towerlands Big Tour recently, when the liver chestnut Dutch warmblood mare came through the two qualifying round with flying colours.
The duo earned a place on the team to represent their country in which they jumped two superb clear rounds, helping the team to put in a zero score.
Nicki, who is based at High Ground Barn, said: "No other team came near us and we won the event. We entered the Grand Prix on the final day and came fourth. This mare had been really consistent locally in the two years that I have had her, with successes in 1.15 to 1.25 classes, which is why I decided to go for the Big Tour at Towerlands, and the Internations qualifier."
