Personal best and bags of medals

Five clubs took part with Bexhill again emerging winners, this time from Marlins, Sussex Squids, Seahorses (Haywards Heath) and Brighton & Hove Special Olympics.

Most of the swimmers went home with at least one medal. Home personal bests at the Triangle came from newcomers Bill Fowler, Kali Holder, Alfie Penfold and Thornley Thomas-Atkin. Between them they managed 10 medals, with Kali also taking the Top Junior Girl trophy.

The more experienced swimmers contributed plenty of medals, with six from Georgie Williams, five from Jonathan Bedingham and Tyler Clifton, and three from Reece Meyer. Each of them gained pbs in all four individual events and Jonathan won the Top Boy trophy.

Richard Sambrook and Ben Simmonds had a tough time, swimming in the fastest heat in all four races but still managed five pbs, a bronze and two relay medal each.

Also rising well to a tough challenge were Fabienne Andre, Sophie Battams, Kate Bentley and Seb Ward.

Alex Carr proved fastest swimmer of the night, while also performing with credit amongst the youngsters were Louis Moyes, Josh Savva and Daniel Telling.

Older swimmers to the fore were Stephen Bayliss, Pat Hough, Jacky Jones and Steven Wade, and there was consistent improvement from Christopher Lovejoy and Michael Menezes.

Amongst the medals and pbs were Annie Lacey, Paddy Phillips, Kieren Stevens, Avinash Suresh, David Fawdrey, Robbie Rix and Hannah Szczepanski. Thanks to all the volunteers and spectators.
