The match, presented by Cowdray Park Polo Club and the Hurlingham Polo Association tomorrow (Saturday), sees England face the Americas in the eighth running of the St Regis International Cup.

Leading England and playing in the No3 shirt will be seven-goal player James Beim, who has taken over the England captaincy in 2015.

He is joined at No1 by six-goal player Richard Le Poer and at two by Max Charlton – at 24 years of age considered to be one of England’s rising stars. The experienced James Harper, (six goals) will play at back, completing a strong 26-goal line-up.

Once again St Regis connoisseur Nacho Figueras (six goals), will feature in the overseas side, which will be captained by eight-goal Chilean player Jaime Huidobro. The team also include Mattias Torres Zavaleta (seven goals) and five-goal player Manuel Elizalde.

In 2014, in a team which featured both Beim and Charlton, England beat a tough South American side 11½-8 – and this year’s encounter looks to be just as exciting.

As well as the high-octane polo, visitors can make the most of the trade stands, bars, food and entertainment. Front-row picnic positions and entry tickets can be purchased in advance at www.cowdraypolo.co.uk
