Pony club team in top form

A MINI showjumping team from Crawley and Horsham South Pony Club has been in top form all season, winning everything in sight at a regional level. The team also finished second at the recent National Schools and Pony Clubs show jumping event at Hickstead, when facing formidable opposition from clubs from all over the country.

Sisters Ella Murphy (11) and Annabel Murphy (nine) of Findon, who have also made a name for themselves as successful individual riders, with Mockbeggar Liquorice Allsorts and Bellvue Huckleberry respectively, and Courtney Geal (11) of Ashington with Rosie Roan have been mainstays throughout the year.

In the early part of the season, Georgie Smithers, now 13, was part of the four-strong team, but became too old and was replaced by Ella Baker (11) of Littlehampton, riding Abbeyliex's Diamond Boy in June.
