Rising chasing star makes it two in a row at Fontwell

IRISH-bred Brushford made it two out of two in his chasing career when winning in style at Fontwell Park's first Sunday meeting of 2010 on Sunday.

The six-year-old High Roller gelding, trained by Chris Gordon in neighbouring Hampshire, had made a winning debut over the larger obstacles at the track in January partnered by local jockey Leighton Aspell.

He had five unsuccessful starts over hurdles previously but has always been held in high regard at Moorstead Stables and chasing is clearly his game.

Chasing is clearly his game and Leighton Aspell was again in the saddle on Sunday when the duo overturned the favourite to win the two-and-a-half mile handicap chase.
