Robertson handed Selby test

Jimmy Robertson was paired with Mark Selby in Monday morning’s draw for the Betfred.com World Snooker Championship.

The Bexhill cueman will be making his first ever appearance in the venue stage of a ranking tournament having won three matches in the qualifiers, the last of which was a 10-7 victory over 1997 champion Ken Doherty.

It will be a tough task for world no.61 Robertson because Selby has risen to number four in the rankings having reached the final of the recent German Masters and semi-finals of the Players Tour Championship at the weekend.
