Worthing Raiders secured a 25-24 win at home to Barnes as a successful National two east campaign came to an end at Roundstone Lane.

It was a thrilling game with excellent rugby from both sides. The crowd thoroughly enjoyed the home side’s attacking play and the gritty defending that possibly made the difference between winning and losing, plus the theatrical climax of Alex Davies’ last-minute penalty from 45 metres out.

This was a great end to a successful season that featured 18 Raiders wins and ended with them in fourth place in the league.

Sussexworld and the Worthing Herald would like to thank Colin Coulson for supplying match reports from every Raiders game this season and pictures from away games, and Stephen Goodger for pictures from every home game.
