Raiders were without a game at the weekend, when they had a free week, and dropped into the bottom three of National 1 as a result, after Henley won 23-13 at home to Blaydon.

Worthing head coach Kieron Dawson hopes to have James Chisholm, who was with England under-20s at the weekend, and Richard Palframan available for Saturday’s clash and said: “We’re hoping they will both be available and that we’ll be at full strength.

“We’re all raring to go. It’s a shame our A team’s match with Chinnor was cancelled at the weekend as we could have done with Matt McLean and a few other guys getting a few more minutes.

“It will be a clash of styles on Saturday but it’s nice to see the sun shining and the ground getting harder.

“We’ve been working on things like defending line-outs, which was something Richmond had some joy with when we beat them earlier in the season.

“Hopefully, with the work we’ve done, it won’t be an Achilles heel for us again on Saturday.”
