RUGBY: Worthing lose at Rugby but get a bonus point

WORTHING RAIDERS Rugby Club picked up a bonus point in their 15-12 defeat at Rugby Lions on Saturday (January 17) in National 3 South.

They got the point for keeping the losing margin to four-or-less points, although had led 12-3 at half-time, with a strong wind behind them.

Ben Coulson and Will Harris touched down, with Coulson also adding a conversion, but Rugby hit back in the second half to get the win.

Worthing team manager David Hinchcliffe said: "It was a good performance and if we'd managed to take another couple of chances in the first half, maybe we'd have won.

"But it's good to have got a bonus point against a team fifth in the table."
