Show jumping contest proves so popular, entries are turned away

CRAWLEY and Horsham South Pony Club held its Individual, Teams and Dengie first round Show Jumping competition at Sands Farm, Horsham, earlier this month.

All classes were full to bursting with 10 hours of show jumping and many entries were turned away.

Class 1 was won by one of the club's own members '“ Ella Forrest (11) riding Just William. Ella, who lives in East Preston and is a pupil at Our Lady of Sion School, Worthing, has been a member of the club for two years.

The club was well-represented in the results, with many members picking up placings in other classes.

Four riders qualified for the Dengie Second Round held at Berkshire College of Agriculture in March next year, including member Jenni Burgess riding Bryndale Debutante, who came fourth.

Show Secretary Ann Pring did a great job of collating the entries before the show, helped by an army of committee members, parents and friends, and without their help the show would not have run as smoothly as it did.
