Sidley hoping for a change of fortune

SIDLEY United are hoping for a confidence boosting victory over struggling Wick at Gullivers on Saturday October 5.

An inconsistent start to the Sussex One campaign has Sidley lying in eighth place, 13 points behind current champions and pace-setters Burgess Hill.

Although Wick are struggling to find their form this season, manager Richie Reynolds has recently returned to the club after being axed by Dr Martens League side Newport Isle of Wight.

Joint manager Heritage said: "Wick have been hammered a couple of times and have had a bad start to the season. They were thrashed 11-1 by Lymington and New Milton in the FA Vase and someone else put six past them. Then they had an excellent 1-0 victory away at Chichester so it may not be that straight forward."

Russell Eldridge should start his first game since re-signing from St Leonards and Lee Wood is available again. Jimmy Watson (hamstring) and Adam Day (groin strain) are both doubtful.
