Sidley pay the penalty

SIDLEY United had to settle for a point from a 2-2 draw at home to Three Bridges on Tuesday.

The Blues looked to be heading for victory until they conceded a penalty - Bridges' second of the night - just four minutes from time.

Steve Roberts made no mistake from 12 yards to earn a share of the spoils.

Sidley opened the scoring on 10 minutes through a brilliant header by Lee Wood only for Pat Massaro to equalise.

Kevin Rose gave Sidley a deserved lead just before the break, finishing in clinical fashion following good work by Jimmy Watson.

Bridges missed their first penalty 10 minutes from time but made no mistake after being awarded a second soon after following a foul by keeper Jon Gardner.
