Sidley return to winning ways

SIDLEY United quickly dusted themselves down after their RUR Cup final disappointment to clinch a 2-0 win against Arundel on Saturday.

But the Sussex League win came at a cost as star striker Shae Spreafico was carried off with a pulled hamstring which may rule him out for the remainder of the season.

Replacement striker Kevin Rose was on target after Dave Ward had opened the scoring to seal United's second win over Arundel in as many months following their RUR Cup quarter-final triumph.

Sidley manager Peter Heritage said: "We were alright. We didn't really get going and Arundel didn't really offer a lot."
