Successful dressage event for all

A DRESSAGE event held at Cakeham Stables, West Wittering earlier this month, run by Debbie Basley, attracted 35 entries and there were some excellent performances from children and adults alike.

Jenny Straw, vice president of West Sussex Riding Club was judge for the day.

Walk and Trot Juniors: 1 Emilie Raymond Wedlls and Ben; 2 Chayleigh Jennings and Teddy; 3 Lily Rose Kennedy and Nessy; 4 Jess Bastable and Teddy; 5 K C Clark and Ace; 6 Shannon Flower and Honeysuckle.

Walk and Trot Seniors: 1 Sam De Vaal and Teddy; 2 Amy Leroyd and Bruno; 3 Julia Pilich and Marble; 4 Layla Bahrami and Flurry; 5 Donna Luck and Spot; 6 Kinga Dobr Zanaskz and Orea.

Prelim Juniors: 1 Emile Raymond Wells and Ben; 2 Lucia England and Whisky; 3, Hamar Warnett and Flurry; 4 K C Clark and Ace; 5 Clare Bailey and Dino; 6 Hannah Warrnett and Murphy.

Prelim-Seniors: 1 Sam De Vaal and Teddy; 2 Leslie Boyall and Merlin; 3 Kinga Dobrenska and Ben; 4 Peter Line and Merlin; 5 Amy Leroyd and Cosi.

There will be action at Cakeham Stables again this Friday, Good Friday, when Debbie Basley is holding what is bound to be a popular Clear Round Jumping event there from 10.30-12.30.
