Sunday league promotion issues unclear

SAXONS and Unilock could be promoted in the East Sussex Sunday Football League if enough new clubs join the league.

Cranbrook, Robin Hood, Little Common Wheatsheaf and The Plough have all withdrawn from the league but six new clubs have made enquiries about joining next season.

Peasmarsh will be the only side relegated from the Division One, with Tackleway and Bexhill AAC gaining promotion. Division Two runners-up Harrow II will not be joining Harrow I in the top flight as the league does not allow two club teams in the same division.

Fourth place Saxons will take their place if four new clubs step in, which would also mean Unilock being promoted from Division Three.

Comet and Spartan Seniors are both relegated from Division Two with Silverhill Club and Punnetts Town stepping up.

Cranbrook (135), Walkers (60) and Bo-Peep (50) have all been fined for unfulfilled fixtures and Robin Hood were hit with a further 100 fine for withdrawing during the season to make their total debt 250. Little Common Wheatsheaf still owe the league 225, and all players will be suspended until their respective club fines are paid.

New clubs have until May 31 to submit their applications.
