Sussex cross-country elite return to Goodwood
With a number of course records being broken in the relays, it looks likely the coming season will be of high quality with Chichester hoping to repeat last season’s medal haul.
The action starts with an invitation under-11 race at midday, open to any Year 5 or Year 6 runner who wants to compete, even if they are not already in a club.

In-form Rosie Ellis and Fay Cripps are likely to spearhead Chichester’s challenge in the women’s event in their aim to repeat the club’s best-ever finish as runners-up in division one.
The men’s team will be without James Baker but Harry Leleu and Josh James are coming into the under-20 ranks this year to strengthen the club’s bid for a return to division one having gained promotion into the second division last year after one season in division three.
