Thunder beat Team Northumbria 101-92 and now victory at bottom-of-the-table Brixton Topcats on Sunday will seal a seventh-place finish and a trip to the team who finishes second in the play-offs.

Worthing could lose at Brixton and finish in the play-offs if results go their way this weekend and coach Daniel Hildreth said: “We’re still just taking one game at a time but it’s the first time this season that we’ve had things in our own hands and it’s a nice situation to be in.

“But Brixton is one of the hardest places to go in the league. They’ve won three games this season and all of them have been at home. It’s a hostile place to go, so we’ll need to be on form to make sure we get the win.”
