Thunder progress into the last four of National Cup

Worthing Thunder Basketball Club are through to the semi-finals of the National Cup after they beat Derby Trailblazers at the Shoreham Academy on Sunday afternoon.

Thunder will travel to Leeds Carnegie in the last four on December 9 and Thunder coach Daniel Hildreth was pleased with the win, after a 62-56 league defeat at Leicester Warriors on Saturday.

He said: “It was good to get a confidence-boosting win like this, especially as we lost the previous day. It was a sluggish game, not your traditional classic, but it’s a win and I’m very proud of the lads for reaching the semi-finals.”
