Tim James collects another Destruction Derby title and trophy

Popular Arlington National Banger driver Tim James, travelled down to Hampshire on Sunday, as Aldershot Raceway held only its second SUV meeting, and returned with another title and trophy.

After the successful launch of this new crazy concept last year, Spedeworth raised the profile of the SUV/4x4 Bangers by allowing them to headline the event in front of a large appreciative holiday crowd.

It maybe the school summer holidays, but the Raceway resembled the modern day school run, with a grid of so-called Chelsea Tractors doing battle.

Just as with the school run, it seems that anything goes with these big beasts of the road. Once behind the wheel of a Land Rover Discovery or Jeep, drivers seem to think they own the space!
