Head coach Kirstine Dawson beamed: “The gymnasts showed complete maturity throughout the competition, especially given they are only seven and eight years old.”

Infinity had eight further partnerships who competed at the Regional Championships in Tunbridge Wells on Sunday December 1.

Competing against very tough competition, Grade 3 women’s pairs Olivia Lewin and Sophie Geal, Zoe Eatwell and Mae Cunnington and Katy Wort and Zhiwei Sanchez-Ral all completed clean routines and many of them will now move up to the next level.

Katherine Fellingham, Stacey Cooper and Faith Cunnington, competing for the first time since Faith joined only two months ago, came twelfth.

Adam Khan and Zak Parrott were awarded a silver medal in the Grade 3 men’s pairs and the Grade 4 women’s group of Charleigh Lacey, Rebecca Waller and Bethany Mason completed a fine routine to take seventh.

To finish the club had two partnerships crowned regional champions. Toby Parrott and Ed Lanning took the Grade 4 men’s pairs and Natalya Fisher and Molly Butler the Grade 5 women’s pairs.

“I cannot express in words how proud I was of all the gymnasts who competed,” added Dawson. “The squad are now working hard for the National Qualifiers in March.”
