ToneZone runners roar to Brighton success

Bognor-based ToneZone members were among the 9,000-strong Brighton Marathon field who enjoyed clear skies and low temperatures but a cool wind.

ToneZone had 12 entrants competing on the demanding course and they were well backed by 30-plus supporters around the course. Perry Lee was again the first ToneZone runner home with an impressive time of 3hr 38min. Chris Gallagher performed remarkably in his first marathon running the last six miles at his fastest pace.

Personal bests were also recorded by David Butler, Gary Pidgeon, also a first-time marathon runner, Jim Simmons and Jason Rae.
