TOWN ON THE UP

STEYNING'S victory at Crowborough on Saturday confirmed their promotion back into senior football after five years wallowing in the mire of third division intermediate soccer.

They achieved their move up with a confident display against Crows who knocked Town out of the Division Three Cup in the semi-finals but will Harry Smith's team be playing senior football next season? No is the answer.

With Pease Pottage beating the other contenders Forest to go up, Town knew a victory at Alderbrook would be sufficient to achieve their objective.
