Town sunk by Pagham's quickfire double

STEYNING TOWN Football Club's three-game unbeaten league run came to an end at league-leaders Pagham on Tuesday night.

Town had lost just one of their previous nine games but two goals in the first seven minutes of the second half sent them to defeat.

Steyning boss Mark Dalgleish felt his side dominated the first half and they should have been ahead by half-time. James Pargeter had a golden opportunity when Sean Hourigan played him through.

Pargeter's first effort was saved by Pagham keeper Rob McLelland but he then somehow shot the rebound wide. Pargeter had another opportunity saved and Greg Hearne blasted a chance over.
