The result was made to look even better by Wealdstone's 3-0 victory at home to Tooting & Mitcham United - themselves opening day winners over Hendon - on Monday night.

Elsewhere tonight, Rye United will travel to Ringmer in Division One of the Sussex County League gunning for a victory which would give them 10 points from a possible 15 (kick-off 7.30pm).

Sidley United will be aiming for their second victory in five Division One matches when they travel to Eastbourne United AFC (kick-off 7.45pm).

In Division Two, Westfield face a tough trip to AFC Uckfield (kick-off 7.45pm) and Bexhill United also have a difficult assignment as they go to Seaford Town (kick-off 7.30pm).
