West Wittering Croquet Club prepare for new era
Richard Shrubb, chairman of the Woodger Trust and of the West Wittering Parish Council, will formally open the newly-refurbished courts of the West Wittering Croquet Club at midday on Tuesday (March 13).
After obtaining a 21-year lease from the council, and with generous financial support from, among others, the Woodger Trust, the club have had their courts levelled and grassed in preparation for the new season.
A new anti-vermin barrier and irrigation system have also been installed. The courts are located on Millenium Field, Elms Lane, West Wittering, next to the cricket club.
