Art project at Bognor Regis Sainsbury's

ARTISTS have been invited to submit ideas to brighten up the new Sainsbury's store in Bognor Regis.

The company has provided space for public artwork to be installed on the elevation of the store which faces the A29 Shripney Road.

The project will require a local artist to design the artwork, which Sainsbury’s hopes will be created with help from local children and young adults.

The chosen design will need to reflect the nature and history of Bognor and honour the site and, in particular, its long links with fridge and freezer firm Lec Refrigeration.

The 55,000sq ft store – with a petrol filling station – is quickly taking shape alongside the A29.

It is due to be opened before Christmas.

Artists interested in submitting designs to Sainsbury’s should contact James Mallinson on 0845 602 1151 or email: [email protected].
