Ariana Grande album launch party comes to Crawley HMV

Ariana Grande, an American pop artist with over 94 million monthly listeners on Spotify, held an album launch party at HMV, Crawley.

The store, situated at The Martletts in Crawley town centre, was selected to host an album release event to celebrate Grande’s new album ‘Petal’.

The singer is set to play 10 sold-out shows at O2 Arena, London, in August.

Ariana Grande had fans queueing since the early hours of the morning to gain access to exclusive fan merch, which included authentic album stickers, bookmark, posters, and slipmats.

One fan, Phoebe, who has been a fan of the singer for ten years queued outside the store from 7:30 am. She expressed her excitement for the album and to see Ariana perform her new tracks live in just over two weeks at the O2.

This year marks seven years since Miss Grande last performed in the UK and nearly ten years since the Manchester Arena bombings, an incident that shocked the globe.

With Ariana making a return to the UK after performing her role as Glinda in the two-part film “Wicked”, fans in Sussex were excited when they found out their local store was selected as part of the launch event.

Joshua, who attended the Crawley event, missed out on tickets to see the artist in August despite seeing her live on her previous tour.

He shared his disappointment but still conveyed his excitement for the new tracks.

He said: “I’ve listened to it all day and I love it!

"I have been a fan since I was five but I have no tickets to see her and I’m so upset

"It’s everything I think about.”
