Founder Simon Appleton said: “Aptly named The Strange Games Festival, attendees can enjoy a multitude of weird and wonderful games over a long, chilled weekend of camping, glamping, marquees, campfires, food vans, bars and entertainment.

“Whether high-intensity social deduction games like Werewolf or Blood on the Clock Tower are your thing, or smaller board games with friends in one of the many marquees is what you’re looking for, The Strange Games Festival boasts a raft of offerings for everyone, no matter what kind of gamer you are. RPGs, mega-games and every board game you could ever hope to play will be available all weekend, all day, every day.

“The festival will run from 2pm on Friday, August 26 through until 4pm on Monday, August 29 at Bushy Wood in Hailsham and will include activities like archery and Nerf Wars in addition to the extensive game zones available.

“We’ve been running the festival since 2015, and it’s been such a joy to watch the event grow from just 20 tents in a field to the thriving festival it has become.

"Each year it has grown bigger and bigger, now with many hundreds of people heading south to play for the long weekend. And this year is no different, promising more partners, more entertainment and more gamers than ever before!

“The Strange Games Festival is a long weekend of board games, role-playing, werewolf and more at a beautiful Sussex campsite, featuring camping, glamping, marquees, campfires, food vans and several hundred happy gamers. Come play!”

Weekend tickets cost £75 per person. For more information and to book tickets, visit the event website at www.strangegamesfestival.co.uk
