Festival plans a big day out

Plans are being made for Uckfield Festival's Big Day and organisers are inviting people interested in taking part to contact them.

The town's eighth annual festival starts on Thursday, July 12, and will provide ten days of music and dance, art, theatre, walks and storytelling.

A circus theme has been chosen for the festival and the High Street will come alive on the Big Day, Saturday, July 14, with primary school children taking part in a parade, street theatre and a market in Civic Approach.

The organisers are inviting anybody with something to show off, sell or share to contact them about booking a place on the Luxford Field. Ninety stalls were there last year. The number to call is 01825-762294.
