Making history 'hands on'
The group which provides educational, entertaining and interactive experiences of military life ranging from the Roman Empire to the end of the Middle Ages around 1450, now has a full Roman uniform to complement its huge range of medieval armoury and weapons and a working half size trebuchet. The armour has taken over 100 hours to complete to the highest level of historic accuracy.
Hands on History attends many historic venues in Sussex and allows children of all ages to wear and use armour, chain mail helmets, pikes and shields as well as gain an understanding of the life, food and leisure of our ancestors.
