Alan Humphrey, LALGA secretary, said it was a great opportunity to replace plants lose during the cold winter.

"As well as plants there will be a tombola, cakes and refreshments, so come along early for all the best bargains and help support the town show, which will be held on September 11 at Rosemead Open Space."

Saturday's event will also include a scarecrow competition, open to children, adults, community groups and schools.
