The Hawth in Crawley continues to schedule socially distanced performances as the theatre industry tries to navigate its way out of the current crisis.

The venue enjoyed a successful series of comedy nights in the outdoor amphitheatre during the summer, some of which had to be transferred indoors due to bad weather. On the back of them, The Hawth has teamed up again with the Off The Kerb comedy agent/management company to bring together a series of comedy nights to bring a smile to the autumn.

The first of these on Friday, October 16 features former Eton and Oxford student and Mock The Week and Live At The Apollo regular Ivo Graham, and up-and-comic young comic Elliot Steel. Elliot is promising “hilarious and gritty real-life tales of growing up on a south London council estate.” Another act will be added to the bill in the near future.

Tickets are priced £15 and are available from hawth.co.uk

The shows are the first in a series of shows in the autumn in The Hawth’s main theatre where a reduced capacity means social distancing can be observed.

Award-winning blues/Americana performer Elles Bailey and her band head to Crawley on Sunday, October 25; next up, comic and ITV The Chase’s Sinnerman Paul Sinha performs on Wednesday, October 28.
