From Christmas light switch-ons to festive markets and ice rinks there will be plenty of events residents across the Eastbourne area to enjoy this winter.
The Herald has compiled a list of all the festive events going on in the area.
5. Little Chelsea Christmas - December 1
Gather your friends and family for some festive fun and fireworks in Little Chelsea and welcome in December 2023 with a cheer! Little Chelsea in Eastbourne are delighted to be running their free annual Christmas spectacular for the 6th year running. The popular event kicks off at 3:30pm on 1st December with Father Christmas arriving in style. With a live DJ, character appearances, street performers, street food stalls and a fun fair in both Grove Road and South Street, there is plenty to keep all ages entertained - so wrap up warm and head out to make some magical memories with your loved ones. The ever-anticipated Town Hall Laser and Music show will begin around 6:45pm and will be followed by fireworks that promise to light up the sky even on the coldest of winter evenings. Photo: Staff
6. Eastbourne Victorian Christmas Market - December 7 to 10
Eastbourne Victorian Market takes place on the 7 to10 December from 10am - 6pm in the town centre where there will be live music, carole singers, mulled wine and cider, stilt walkers, Bavarian bar, Christmas market, circus acts and a Christmas parade. 7. Hailsham Christmas market - December 9
Hailsham town centre will be home to a range of stalls selling food including slow-cooked pork, as well as Christmas gifts, candles, confectionery and various festive refreshments to tempt visitors. The event will also feature Santa and his Sleigh (courtesy of Hailsham Rotary Club) as well as live music from The Sussex Stompers, plus there will be carol singing in Vicarage Field performed by Hailsham Choral Society and Hailsham FM will be playing popular Christmas tunes throughout the day. 8. Eastbourne Ice Rink opening
Get your skates on as Feastival Events present Lightning Fibre’s Ice Rink, which returns even bigger and better than before! Open every day (except Christmas Day) this fully covered real ice rink is situated outside of the Enterprise Centre and Eastbourne Railway Station with ample parking and close to the nearby independent shops of Little Chelsea, The Beacon shopping mall, the boutiques of Cornfield and the eateries of Victoria Place.
