![Leonardslee Illuminated Spectacular 2022 takes place from November 24 to 27, November 30 to December 4, 7 to 21.
With the event in its fourth year, the historic 240-acre Grade I Listed estate will transport visitors into a magical world as the gardens are transformed with illuminations, large-scale installations and atmospheric soundscapes. Guests are welcomed with a Victorian funfair, a small Christmas market, a selection of seasonal food and drink and other entertainment before entering the mile long trail. ![The spectacular after-dark experience which runs from November 18, 2022 until January 2, 2023.
Installations designed by a range of international artists portray the Kent pinetum in a majestic light, beneath unique canopies drenched in seasonal colour and inspired by the landscape to create a festive adventure for all the family.
Tetra Park is a striking new feature by Mandylights, who have been creating incredible artwork experiences in more than 50 countries since 2006.
It is a geometric piece which explores colour progressions through a complicated series of linear pathways. It is made of large-scale colour-changing stars that have been cleverly programmed to music.
Another new installation will be Digital Rain, by Bespsoke Lighting and Video, who specialise in LED technology. ![Boxgrove Priory is hosting its first ever Christmas Tree Festival, with the theme 'It's the most wonderful time of the year!'. The Christmas trees have been decorated by a variety of individuals and community groups from around the village.
The event is co-ordinated by Fr Peter Bustin, the creative driving force behind 2019’s highly successful “Flowers at Boxgrove” event. Fr Peter is ably supported by Boxgrove Churchwardens, Katie Kean and David Bannister. Admission is free (with donations welcome). Hot refreshments will be available daily, together with the chance to enter the Grand Raffle to win a Fortnum’s Classic Christmas Hamper.
