Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to nine Worthing establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to nine of Worthing’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to seven restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Salsa Viva Cantina at 28 High Street, Worthing, West Sussex; rated on July 21

• Rated 5: The Flour Pot Bakery at 57 - 59 Brighton Road, Worthing, West Sussex; rated on July 21

• Rated 5: Lido Restaurant at Cafe Lido Amusement Complex The Promenade, Worthing, West Sussex; rated on July 20

• Rated 5: Wine & Reason at Restaurant 14 Montague Place, Worthing, West Sussex; rated on July 20

• Rated 5: Brio Ristorante at 18 Marine Parade, Worthing, West Sussex; rated on July 15

• Rated 5: Picnic Cafe Bistro at 2 Downlands Parade, Worthing, West Sussex; rated on July 15

• Rated 5: Shorely Scrumptious at 15 Crescent Road, Worthing, West Sussex; rated on July 15
