All welcome at Midhurst and Petworth annual town meetings

Residents are being warmly encouraged to come along and take part as both Midhurst and Petworth prepare for their annual town meetings on Thursday, April 23rd.

In Petworth, the Town Council will open the doors of Leconfield Hall at 6.30 for a 7 pm start, offering an opportunity for residents to hear first‑hand about the work carried out over the past year and the plans taking shape for the months ahead. The chair and vice chair will share updates, and several community groups will also be on hand to talk about their projects and answer questions.

Meanwhile, over in Midhurst, the Town Council will be gathering at the Old Library on Knockhundred Row, also at 7 pm. Residents can expect a comprehensive update from the chairman on the town’s achievements over the last 12 months, as well as a look at what’s on the horizon.

The meeting will also feature a talk from Cowdray CEO Jonathan Russell, who will speak about the town’s ongoing relationship with the Estate.

Both councils say the meetings are not only a chance to listen, but to take part. In Midhurst, there will be time set aside for a wider community discussion on how best to enhance the neighbourhood and continue building a strong, connected town.

And in true local spirit, light refreshments will be available at both events, making it an inviting evening for anyone who cares about the future of their community.
