Danni hails from Bedford, but is now proudly based in Nashville, TN—her long-dreamed-of spiritual home.
She continues to grow her stateside presence, tour widely, and prepare for the release of her fourth full-length studio album, ‘Making Moves’ which will be released in June.
BBC Radio 2 are considering her for a ‘new to 2’ and she’s garnered high praise from Bob Harris, who described her music as having "elegance and beauty" and programmed her on his BBC Radio 2 Country show.
Her musical journey was sparked by a chance encounter with Nashville producer and bassist Chris Donohue (Emmylou Harris), which led to the making of her critically acclaimed albums ‘A Little Redemption’ (2012) and ‘Mockingbird Lane’ (2015). Both featured legendary Nashville players including Al Perkins, Will Kimbrough, and Steve Fishell, and received rave reviews for their authenticity and emotional depth. Her third studio album, ‘The Melted Morning’ (2019), produced by Jordan Brooke Hamlin (Brandi Carlile, Indigo Girls), revealed a more intimate and haunting sonic landscape and was widely praised for its vulnerability and originality.
‘Making Moves’ finds Danni embracing change, and writing with renewed clarity about growth, courage, and letting go. Described as a “one in a million” artist with a “velvet voice” (Maverick Magazine), and with songs hailed as “classy and compelling” (RnR Magazine). She has shared bills and tours with artists such as Lucinda Williams, The Secret Sisters, and Sturgill Simpson, and her music has been featured on hit television shows including ‘Sons of Anarchy’.
A three-time Americana Music Association UK award nominee, Danni has performed at esteemed festivals worldwide, including Cambridge Folk Festival (UK), Tønder Festival (Denmark), Americanafest, Mile of Music and 30A Songwriters Festival (USA).
