Hendy Foundation, the independent charity affiliated with leading car dealer business Hendy Group, has opened its second grant window of 2026, inviting local charities across the South Coast to apply for funding.

Up to £20,000 is available to support local charities and community projects, with applications open until Friday 30th October. This follows a successful first half of 2026 which saw Hendy Foundation award £16,000 to eight local charities within Hendy Group’s footprint.
Among the beneficiaries was Cancer United, a charity which supports people affected by cancer through exercise programmes, specialist coaching, creative wellbeing activities and community support.
Funding was also awarded to Together Collective, a charity which continues its work connecting people, places and ideas through befriending, social prescribing and volunteering opportunities, helping to reduce loneliness and strengthen community connections across East Sussex.
Rebecca Hendy, Chairperson of Hendy Foundation said: “The Hendy Foundation is committed to supporting the communities it serves, and the latest round of funding offers another opportunity to make a real difference. We encourage local charities of all sizes to apply and benefit from the support available.”
To be considered for Hendy Foundation’s 2026 grant window, charities should make a submission via the Hendy Foundation website: Grant Request - Hendy Foundation
A panel of volunteer Hendy Foundation trustees will review applications before carrying out an assessment to determine which charities are eligible to receive support this year. Successful applicants are expected to receive their grants before the end of 2026.
Launched in 2018, Hendy Foundation is a dedicated charity that provides grants to local charitable projects, people and charitable organisations. The family-run Hendy Group’s commitment to supporting local communities goes back generations, and the Hendy Foundation continues to explore exciting new ways to strengthen and improve upon these links.
