Queen Elizabeth 2 Cup Report
The Queen Elizabeth 2 Cup took place at Southwater Club, and despite a low turnout, there was some top-quality darts on display. Alex and Andy Gurr reached the final with wins over Josh Mauger and Tom Sharman, Archie Goddard and Chris Ayres, with Archie hitting a 130 out, and in the semi-final, Paul Hopkins and Stuart Cole. Their opponents in the final will be Paul Williams and Will Hicks, who advanced with wins over Luke Bishop and Adrian Dudman, Dan Lake and Jay Labram, where Dan hit a 108 finish.
In the plate competition for pairs eliminated in the first round of the main event, the final will feature Adrian Dudman and Stuart Cole against Ryan and Kieran Mitchell. During the plate competition, Steve Haughton hit a 100 out.
A total of £131.00 was raised for charity, thanks to all who contributed. Appreciation also goes to Southwater Club for hosting and providing a buffet, Andy Mason for assisting with the competitions, and Carol Cole for conducting the draw for the preliminary round of the Knockout Cup.
