An innovative new mobile event bar experience is set to make its public debut in East Sussex this month, blending premium cocktails, barista coffee, and cutting-edge robotics.
Astral Alchemy will officially launch its beautifully converted horsebox trailer, "Shaken, Steamed & Spun," at the upcoming Folk & Fable Festival in Battle, running from Friday 28th August to Sunday 30th August 2026.
The business delivers a unique, three-in-one hospitality experience. Unlike standard mobile event bars, the vintage vehicle houses a full premium cocktail service, a high-end coffee bar, and an automated robot candy floss vending machine that spins whimsical shaped cotton candy on demand.
The venture is a true local labour of love. The vintage agricultural horsebox was rescued from an empty shell and lovingly transformed into a sustainable, eco-friendly mobile bar. In line with their eco-friendly focus, the bar proudly champions regional producers by serving locally roasted coffee beans from Liquid Spirit and premium spirits distilled right here Sussex, by Dedbest & Brixworth
Behind the bar is a wealth of e.xpertise. Astral Alchemy’s founder brings over a decade of mixology experience and five years of teaching popular cocktail masterclasses to the menu. The mobile concept evolved from the company's "Astral Floss" cotton candy vending machines, which have spent the last two years spreading joy across leisure venues throughout Kent and Sussex.
"Astral Alchemy began with the humble spin of candy floss and a dream of bringing people together through simple, childhood magic," said the founder. "We wanted to take that joy on the road, combining it with premium cocktails and barista coffee to create something extraordinary. The historic & magical backdrop of Battle’s Folk & Fable Festival is the perfect place for our very first public outing."
Members of the local community, event planners, and festival attendees are invited to visit the "Shaken, Steamed & Spun" horsebox during the festival weekend to view the premium craftsmanship, see the automated robot candy floss machine in action, and sample the beverage menu.
Following the festival launch, the mobile bar will be available across Kent and Sussex for weddings, private milestone celebrations, festivals, and corporate brand activations.
