GARDEN VISITS: Peacehaven Open Gardens will be held on June 25 and 26 June from 2pm to 6pm. Tickets £4 each which covers all gardens on both days. For further info please contact Alison on 01273589502.

SATURDAY CHARITY MARKET: Tomorrow the market will be organised by Peacehaven Evangelical Free Church.

COFFEE MORNINGS: This week’s coffee mornings will be organised by: Monday and Wednesday, Sussex Pet Rescue; Tuesday, Lyn Mills; Thursday, UKIP; Friday June 17, Sussex Pet Rescue.

COMMUNITY CAFÉ: Now open six mornings, in the foyer, Community House, Meridian Centre. Tea, coffee, egg, bacon, sausage sandwiches and cooked breakfasts available. Run by local charities. Monday and Wednesday morning the community café is organised by Sussex Pet Rescue.

KNOW DEMENTIA: Memory moments café. Everyone welcome, especially those with memory problems and their family supporter. Every Friday from 10am to 1pm, Anzac Room, Community House. Meridian Centre.

THE DELL: June 19, car boot sale organised by the Peacehaven and Telscombe Scouts.

COUNCIL MEETING: On Tuesday there is a Planning and Highways meeting in the Anzac Room at 2pm.

BINGO: Community House, main hall on Friday June 17, starts at 7pm sharp. Cash prizes, free refreshments during half time. Eight games for £4 plus flyer and snowball games.

NEW MAYOR: A chance to meet the Mayor and to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday; tomorrow, Saturday, Community House Foyer. Pop along between 2pm and 4pm for a cup of tea and a chat.

MATINEE MELODIES 5: Today, Friday, the show has been cancelled.

CHURCH SERVICE: Mayor’s Civic Church Service will take place on Saturday June 18 at the Evangelical Free Church at 6pm. Everyone welcome.

PEACEHAVEN WI: After a splendid evening, excellent food and entertainment, celebrating our 93rd birthday on Friday, May 27, we came down to earth for the June meeting, which was very well attended. One of our long standing members was presented with a bouquet for her 90th birthday, after which a report was given at length on the recent holiday to the Isle of Wight. It was apparently successful and enjoyed by everyone participating.

Andy Thomas was the afternoon speaker and showed really interesting slides whilst talking about Unexplained Mysteries and Cover-ups. A fascinating insight on many things we are led to believe are true but on closer investigation are questionable. We were left with plenty to think about. Don’t forget, our next meeting is July 6.
