LETTER: Tory candidate lives locally

Over the past three weeks there has been frequent mention, both in articles and on your letters page, of the five by-elections scheduled to be held in Seaford on October 27.

There has also been recent discussion about several of the candidates’ home addresses.

On that same date, October 27, there is also a town council by-election in Newhaven, Meeching Ward, to fill a vacancy caused by the resignation of a councillor who was elected as a UKIP representative in May last year, but who became an Independent councillor before leaving the council.

The Conservative candidate lives in Newhaven – indeed, within Meeching Ward – and has lived in Newhaven all his life except for a time spent serving his country in the Army.
