I certainly hope that the footage is not shown. My main concern now is that if it is it shown on the programme people may think it is ok to walk across the figure. Should this happen there is a real risk that future, more sustained damage could occur. This is what I see as the real threat now, the "they did it, so can I" attitude that some have. Help us limit the damage and sign the petition, please!

An excellent job has been done with this petition. At the time of writing it is 6 signatures off ending up on the desk of the relevant Minister.

What impression does it give if ITV do show the programme and footage? Impressionable teens will think they can run over prescious archeology such as the long man with impunity all because Trinny and Susannah "empowered" them to do it! The sad part is, is that the Sloane Rangers(T+S) now consider any actions after the filming to be nothing to do with them, well they are wrong.

I think most of what I wished to say has been covered by my comments on the various other stories on this issue, but it is good to see all the people who care about the Long Man filling in the petition on the Downing Street website.
