I am glad that the Sussex Archaeological Society has acknowledged its failings in this matter and apologised. Now I can only hope that we see ITV follow suit and withdraw this footage from the upcoming TV series.

Absolutely. But will money talk? That's the question. They hired a helicopter and everything. The trouble is that the result looks awful.

Thank you to S.A.S for the apology. Members of the community - pagans or otherwise - who care about our land, appreciate your efforts in finding a way forward with this issue.

I would also like to thank S.A.S for having the generosity to apologise over what was an unfortunate incident and happy that all concerned parties have reached an agreement.

I'd also like to add my thanks to the S.A.S for their apology - if it results in better understanding and relationships then at least something good has come from it.

I would like to thank Sussex Arqueological Society for being sensible on recognising the problem, strong in their decission recognising the druids as part taking considerations about the site, and kind and nice to the public because we'll be able to enjoy even more the history of the site with the bards stories. Well done!!!

The meeting with SAS was felt to be both productive and reasuring. The protest ,a nd outrage brought to the attention of SAS the depth of feeling people have for The Long Man site..Their appology and recognition of spiritual significance is most welcome. We will now move forward together with respect and confidence of the SAS custodianship Janel Spiritual Liaison of Guardians of The Long Man

I too would like to thank the SAS for their apology. Let us hope that this leads to closer links between all of those who love the Long Man, for whatever reasons, and the custodians of the site.
