Chichester city centre building sold for first time in 60 years

A prominent freehold city centre investment in the heart of Chichester has been successfully sold for in excess of £1.5 million.

Two properties in Chichester city centre, 42 South Street and 1 Old Market Avenue, have been sold to a private property company based on the south coast.

The mixed-use building, which extends to around 8,227 sq ft, is fully let and houses a mix of restaurant, office and leisure businesses.

The sale was handled by Mark Minchell of Flude Property Consultants on behalf of the seller.

He said: “The building was originally constructed by our client’s family for their own business, incorporating an owner’s flat on the top floor, which has subsequently become the Chichester office of Flude.

"This represents the first sale of the property in its 60-year history since construction. The property is now fully let to a diverse mix of restaurant, leisure and office occupiers, providing the new owner with a well-balanced range of tenant types and a strong addition to their investment portfolio.”
