Horsham pub hailed as 'outstanding fundraising hub'

The Star at Roffey has raised much-needed funds for a number of local charities – including £2,500 for Horsham Matters.
The pub – part of the Craft Union pub chain – is being commended for its efforts which form part of Craft Union’s ‘Make It A Million’ campaign which aims to raise £1 million in charity donations across its band of pubs nationwide.

Hide AdA Craft Union spokesperson said: “Horsham’s The Star is a local fundraising front-runner and continues to prosper in support of Horsham Matters, amongst a wide range of other charities such as ‘Air Ambulance’, ‘Animal Rescue’ and ‘The Children’s Trust’.


"The pub regularly donates boxes to the local foodbank, actively bringing together members of the community to offer their support. Customers can also enjoy the Star’s popular signature game B’Locks Bingo as part of the weekly fundraising fun, with funds being raised in support of the pub’s chosen causes.
“Not only does the community favourite run charity fundraisers on a weekly basis, but The Star also hosts a jam-packed monthly Artisan Market, in which customers and members of the community are invited to get involved in support of local businesses and charities. With stalls varying month to month, locals can expect to find a wide range of fantastic arts, crafts and produce items on sale.
“The Star, Roffey, has been highlighted as an outstanding fundraising hub after its awesome efforts to support a range of local causes.
